Cairn Creek Cabin

Cairn Creek Cabin is situated on a secluded site amongst the hardwood forest, just steps from multiple walking trails. The cabin is completely off-grid and perfect for those looking to disconnect from the busyness of the world for a few days. With solar power, a private outdoor shower and dry toilet (composting toilet) in the attached bathhouse, and a wood stove for chilly nights, you’ll experience simplicity at its finest without “roughing it”. And, a short walk or ATV/UTV ride returns you to the lodge when you want to socialize.

The cabin is outfitted with a comfortable queen size futon and sitting area that calls you to curl up with a good book or tuck in for a restful night’s sleep.  A large attached deck invites you to enjoy your morning coffee or tea with the sunrise or a cocktail or glass of wine as dusk turns to starlight. Cooking options include a gas grill with side burners or cooking over the firepit grill.

What we provide:

• All bed linens and towels

• Basic outdoor cookware and utensils

• cast iron skillet and dutch oven

• mixing/prep bowls

• cutting board and basic knives

• cooking utensils (spatula, tongs, spoons, ladle, etc.)

• percolator coffeepot and ground coffee

• tea kettle and various types of tea

• compostable dinnerware, utensils, and drinkware

• basic cleaning products

  What you should bring:

  • cooler with ingredients for meals you plan to prepare

  • drinks (no glass containers please!) and, we’re in a dry county so BYOB!

  • personal care products like body wash/soap, shampoo/conditioner
