I (Jennifer) currently work a full-time job in human resource management. My truest passions have always been simple and boil down to creating a life of joyful day-to-day experiences. I enjoy my home and all that goes along with beautifying and maintaining it. I am a passionate cook and gardener and am learning more and more about sustainable living. It’s been a life-long dream of mine to own and operate a vacation rental business to share with others.
My husband, Brian, is a contractor, entrepreneur, and avid outdoorsman. He is passionate about conservation and improving the land for wildlife. He loves to hunt and fish, kayak, hike, and birdwatch and will wander in the woods for hours! It’s been his dream to share the outdoor experience with others and help people reconnect with nature.
Where We’re Located
Cairn Creek is centrally located for easy access to popular destinations. A short drive to Hot Springs finds shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and the healing waters of the natural hot spring baths and spas.
The area offers popular lakes known for spectacular fishing and water sports. Lakes Ouachita, Greeson, Hamilton, and Catherine are all nearby.
Access to the Ouachita National Forest is literally across the road! And, a short drive to Little Missouri Falls Recreation Area offers a great place for a picnic, hiking, and viewing the waterfalls.
If kayaking, canoeing, or floating the Caddo River is your thing we’ve got you covered. We’re just up the road from two exceptional operations that offer full equipment and convenient access to the river.
What We Offer
The lodge and cabin at Cairn Creek offer guests two options to experience our modern mountain style and exceptional service, all with a helpful guide to the area.
Our secluded, off-grid cabin provides the ultimate in simplicity. Fully solar powered with a wood burning stove, this one room cabin provides plenty of space for two and all the solitude you crave. The outdoor space boasts a cozy fire pit area just steps away from the cabin and the attached deck provides gorgeous sunrise views. Since the cabin is fully off-grid it includes a bathhouse equipped with a composting toilet and a unique outdoor shower as well as outdoor cooking options. A perfect place to truly get away from it all, the Cabin at Cairn Creek is simplicity at its finest!
Our newly built lodge provides a modern getaway for up to four adults. The unique “barndominium”-style lodge includes two bedrooms, one full bath, and a fully furnished kitchen. The open concept provides enough room for couples to spread out or for a small group to share their vacation experience. Whether you decide to sit back and relax by the fire pit, lounge on the patio, or cozy up in the lodge you’ll appreciate the peace and quiet of the mountains with all the amenities you need to escape for a while.
Our walking/hiking trails let you take in the forest and creeks without ever leaving the property or, we’re happy to help you explore and set up activities.
